This album was one I waited for and mostly happy with. Her last two albums weren’t my cup of tea but had some songs here and there. This album is a return to form but not quite. Yuck is easily my favorite song! It’s fun and a reminder not to be a beta, simp or someone who gives a woman no space with regards to feelings. Every rule is good (especially the instrumental!) but can we please stop endorsing cheating because you know “we have feelings”? Oh it’s wrong but hey let’s do it anyway! The rest of the album definitely has songs that make the album flow without skipping and they are really going full throttle with videos. However between some obvious vocal engineering & because we are in 2022 and labels don’t want to go the extra mile I removed a ⭐️. No digital booklet I mean seriously c’mon! Why does Charli always get short changed! It’s disappointing these labels wonder why people stream and don’t buy the albums. I hope next album we get a Charli album exploring various topics a serious XCX album with yes, some pop in there too.

If you are looking for absolute POP PERFECTION look no further. Charli outdoes herself proving that she is a true pop girl. Wether its her single-handedly bringing Hyperpop to the masses; Crash is pop reimagined. Taking cues from classic 80s icons like Janet Jackson and Sharon how could you not bop along? Every track HITS this is a NO SKIP album.

If I could, I’d give this more 3.5/5 than I would 4/5, but here we are. I think Charli manages to do the synth-pop thing and still comes across as herself. It feels retro and modern at the same time. You definitely hear Janet Jackson and Eurythmics influences in there, but I also get DJ Mustard vibes too. There are some flaws. Sometimes the music gets bogged down in overproduction and it starts sounding messy. Many of the lyrics are clichéd and uninspired and it gets kinda cheesy at times. To me, the appeal of Charli XCX is that she’s supposed to be authentic, so that doesn’t quite fit her personality. Baby is the worst offender at this. It’s not perfect, but there’s dope stuff on here regardless. Good Ones is a banger!

This is quite literally Charlis best work thus far. Charli embodies all previous body’s of work in this record and it is don’t flawlessly. There is truly something for everyone on this album. Used To Know Me is literally her pop-star sell out dance hit, Yuck is a viral tiktok bop, Constant Repeat is… well… just listen back a few times and you’ll understand. Listening to Charli since her mixtapes and seeing her grow up until this point truly warms my heart so much. It’s so beyond deserved. Anyone who listens to this record is going to leave feeling satisfied in ways that other 80’s themed albums could never make you feel.

Hyperpop queen has really been making this quartine and whole past years so fun and exotic. Best piece of work to date

This album is the pop album I’ve been waiting for and doesn’t disappoint.

Charli is always raising the bar and he’s done it again reshaping pop itself. This deserves so much attention and I hope it comes her way soon because she deserves it. Such a hard worker and it pays off.

This album is a culmination of Charli’s sonic evolution. It’s a main pop girl album, but with Charli’s touches. Reminiscent of True Romance and Sucker, but with flares of the experimentalism from all her other work. Truly a great album.

Charli is giving us all the pop we deserve & more. Her best album yet!!

Wow! This is the first charli album I’ve really taken a deep dive in and I’m so impressed! My favorites are baby, constant repeat, used to know me, and yuck. Those are the standout tracks to me but I enjoy listening to all of songs on the album tbh!

Charli XCX is at her best on this album. No skip tracks and some of the catchiest songs I’ve heard in years. Twice, Yuck, Lightening, Constant Repeat, and Good Ones couldn’t be more brilliant.

First off to JDYSummit going off about the song “Beg For You” being a ripoff i guess you didn’t read that Charli actually gives September credit and that her song is a homage to “Cry For You” secondly id like to admit that I didn’t care for this artist for no reason except for prejudging that it was going to be too kid boppy but WOW this album has proved me so wrong 😑 im stuck in the 80’s so she got me there but still the beats are amazing and im loving the lyrics and meanings behind them. I will definitely ck out her prior songs and would like to see her in concert someday.

The more that I listen to this album (especially with headphones) the more details I pick up. It’s an incredibly layered construction of pop songs. All the pieces have come together to fit almost perfectly!🧩

Crash is to infinity and beyond! All the songs are so good. The production continuity is so rich and the cohesion is top-notch with beautiful synth textures throughout the album. Everything fits perfectly. Can’t stop listening. The songs are totally relatable. I feel like it’s the perfect album to play that everyone would vibe to.

Incredible album, very introspective and contemplative in its lyrical content, but still very cohesive and “pop perfect” in sound. The context also makes the album even more important. It feels like mourning, it’s feels like yearning for or seeking comfort in the past while looking towards the future. It is the best and most impactful record I have heard in a very long time. Great work, Charli.

i luv the funky instrumentals. it sorta gives me future nostalgia vibes, in the catchiness and how it makes me want to dance. but it taps more into disco/electronic elements which i LUV. it sounds like future nostalgia and chromatica mixed together. the subject matter is also very interesting especially in twice. my favorites are crash, good ones, beg for u (the collaboration was FIRE), baby, yuck, and twice
