About 6 years ago Melanie Martinez released this album. This has been her biggest hit and a start of a new story. “Crybaby” a fictional character is about deep experiences in life. To start the album off Martinez sings Crybaby which is about being over sensitive and emotional, followed up by her other album “Dollhouse” which is about family issues. She also includes a year later “Crybabies extra clutter”, which includes Teddy Bear, Cake, and Playdate. This album is targeted to teens and tweens still learning on there way. This album never ages it’s rare that I like all the songs on a album plus MILK AND COOKIES is sooooo underrated it’s my number 1 favorite it always will be , and alphabet boy has such a cool instrumental mad hatter is awesome, and omg the drums on crybaby, sippy cup, pacify her, dollhouse and carousel, Soap mrs potato head and training wheels are so sad, they are all amazing! 💙💜💓

I felt really happy listening to all of these songs But when I got older(12 right now) I was listening to “Mr. Potato head” and I was really thinking about these lyrics and a few minutes into the song later I felt very uncomfortable.(soft skin to leather… and… kids forever…even if her if her face don’t stay together…) I really thought hard about it and it made me feel ugly on the outside so I was very unhappy of how I looked later on.

I love the song crybaby so much because I relate to it. I’m crying every day now and it’s over things like guilt of asking for something and not being good enough. I have very low self esteem and that also makes it easier for me to cry.

I like the way she uses teddy bears and knives in her music videos and love how dark she is and I like the song playdate and I like all the blood in the videos like mad hatter and k12 is different I like Drama Club the part where she says I gotta take a bow so u can kiss my butt and I like show and tell bc I like it when she turns into doll and after school is where crybaby dies and I not sure if she left k12 or she came back and Portuls is a hole lot different she’s more serious and she is more evil and one of her consorts she was about to open doors to the dumunc rulm.

Like I love dark fantasy and the way Melanie makes different tropes like “silly cup” and “mrs potato head” but instead of the friendliness in those things she makes them so much more!!! I sometimes relate to the song “crybaby” when I’m feeling down (I listen the the clean version though) But play date is just so good and one more thing M.M IS NOT A R@P*ST AT ALL!! Ok love u byeeee
