The album disscusses things that happen a lot but no one talks about them. I myself really love the song Mad Hatter in particular because I relate to it. In this conceptual album, she tells the story of her alter ego, Cry Baby, facing many dilemmas that many of us can relate to and understand, from a broken family to love's painful rejection to society's harsh ideals of beauty. Her haunting, soft, child-like, breathy voice, as well as her fashion sense, musical style and creativity is quite unique and bizarre, making her distinguishable from the rest. She is the epitome of what a genius should be, with her creative use of alliteration, idioms and metaphors. I recommend this to people who are fond of songs that are sinister yet bubbly with ambiguous messages behind them that may require you to listen more closely if you're fully intent in truly understanding and connecting with the music, as well as the theme and story behind the whole album. Please be aware that some elements of a few songs may be disturbing to listen to.
