This album is good for most M&M people, except for me. I know that Melanie is trying new styles, but I feel like she could’ve done better in this album. The lyrics really get to me (I’m literally in tears right now) but the way she sings it kind of ruins the effect. My friends always tell me how good this album is, then slap me down if I express how I feel about it. I prefer her other albums. But, I won’t be all that upset if she comes out with more albums like this, since I think I just need time to adjust to her new style.

The fact that some people are upset with the audio tune.People need to chill because they act like music creators don’t read the reviews.Melanie has gone through interviews and she explains how she comes up with the music and honestly it is so beautiful 🤩 just like her💖.People miss her face and so do I but at least we still get to hear her voice singing and giving out a story📖.My favorite songs are “battle of the larynx”, “evil”, and “MOON CYCLE”.I love Melanie She ate 🍽and SLAYED 💅 this album 💿.I also heard that people leaked her address and like come on y’all she didn’t deserve that she had so many plans I bet but it’s ok and also some people are asking what is the voice in the background,Melanie said she was sitting in her portal room and singing and she heard a different voice/tone and at first she was scared but kept singing.I’m so proud of her so go Melanie this is 2023 and you will always be iconic 💖💅💁‍♀️.

lowk hated this when it came out. i only really listened to void, light shower, and spiderweb. after a while though i really began to see the vision of everything and just how well each song blended together and the beauty of the portals aesthetic in general. never doubt melanie, she will never miss 💕

I barely knew Melanies music even though I did see her on the voice and do like her early albums once I was introduced to them by daughter. I love her new Portals album. I have learned more about her and feel like this album is actually very personal for her and is a very deep. Listen to the lyrics and you will feel it. I think she is a true artist and appreciate her weirdness. She is growing and not afraid to do it. Good for her. This a worthy purchase.
